I am so happy to let you know that Tainted, the short film I was in (written & directed by Loredana Gasparotto, is receiving a LOT of attention in the film world. The film received Jury’s Citation – Honorable Mention in the College/Independent Category of the New Jersey Young Film & Videomakers Festival.

Tainted will be featured in screenings throughout June at the AMC Cinema in West Orange, at NJCU & the South Orange Public Library in NJ. Woohoo!

I have many reasons to love the Laurie Beechman Thetare. And now I have one more! I’m pleased to announce that I’ve been cast in a reading that will be staged in teh spae.

SHORT N SWEET, The Name ‘N Lights 20 minute play and musical Showcase, will take place on May 24th and will feature cabaret style reasings of three short theatrical pieces. I’ll be playing the role of Rebecca in the piece ‘the Glue Story’ by Ron Brawer. And once again, I play a character who has a LOT more going on underneath what is read on the surface. Oh, and did I mention there is an English accent involved?

BOOKED: Are You There Zeus? It’s Me, Electra

I am so excited to accept the role of Chrysothemis in the Off-Broadway run of Are You There Zeus? It’s Me, Electra. The show is part of teh Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. The Festival is pretty cool because each show raises money & awareness for a cause. Our show will benefit the Children’s Cancer and Blood Foundation.

Written & directed by Aliza Shane and based loosely on Sophocles’ Electra, this show is an old story told from a new perspective. I am REALLY going to enjoy playing Chrysothemis and I can’t wait to start exploring this character. Let’s just say she is…preoccupied…with other things until she eventually joins the cause!
