BOOKED: ArtsPower National Touring Company

I am sooo excited to announce that I have accepted a show with ArtsPower National Touring Company. I will be playing teh role of Dorit in My Heart in a Suitcase. The show tells the true story of Anne Lehmann Fox, a young girl living in Germany in the late ‘30s, and her struggle with the world as it changes around her.

This show means a lot to me, and I am very happy to help bring Anne’s story to life! Here’s a look at the show:

Well…the time has come for me to pull out my teaching degree as I get to combine the two things I love yet again: education + theatre!

This time I’ll be traveling around the country inspiring children to find the fun in that word that can be sooo scary: MATh! I’ll keep my home-base in NY buy I look forward to joining the ARITHMETICKLES team and hitting the road with this one-woman assembly style show.

BOOKED: The Metamorphosis

Alright!!!! I’ve booked the role of Greta in Educational Theatre New York’s adaptation of ‘The Metamorphosis.’

This will be my second production with ETNY as I performed in their adaption of ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’ this past fall. I’m so excited to work with the company and the director, Barbara Bregstein again. Off to pick up a copy of the work by Kafka….I’ve got some reading to do!

Wow!!! I’ve been nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Award for the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. This is a huge honor, as there were over 30 production and a ton of talent involved in the Festivity!

Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of ‘Electra’ for the nominations we received….and of course, for an amazing run!

BOOKED: Playland Park

So happy to announce that I’ll be performing for American Entertainment Productions at Playland Park for the 2010 summer season! There are two shows – Wonder & High Voltage (featuring illusionist Jason Pippitone!)

The critics have spoken! Theatre is Easy reviewed ‘Are You There Zeus? It’s Me Electra’ and praised the costume design as “the best collection of costumes in awhile at an off-off-Broadway production.” along with “noteworthy use of sound.”

I love the way The Happiest Medium describes the show: “This Electra’s a tiny but Nietzsche, a little bit Judy Blume. It’s a little but Greek, and a lot rock & roll. In the End, Are You There Zeus? It’s Me Electra smells like teen spirit in the best way – delightfully overboard and self-assured.”
